Repole Stable's Watch Party will mark the first step in what could become a significant European expansion for one of racing's most outspoken owners when the 2-year-old filly starts Aug. 8 at Newmarket Racecourse.

Mike Repole, a self-made businessman who has become one of the most recognizable figures in United States racing, is increasingly turning his attention toward Europe. Watch Party, trained by Roger Varian, represents his first runner in Britain and follows a growing presence overseas, including horses in Italy with Endo and Cristiana Botti, and a relationship with leading international breeding operation Coolmore.

Repole's first British runner will line up against the €1.1 million (US$1,296,427) Arqana May Breeze Up Sale topper Lex Victoria, trained by Simon and Ed Crisford for owners Victorious Forever and Duaij Al Khalifa. Godolphin's Dubawi filly Danse Royale, who figured to head the market for the 7-furlong fillies' maiden, has been scratched.

Robbie Downey has the responsibility for the ride on Repole's Watch Party, a daughter of Lope de Vega , who was bought for 300,000 guineas (US$422,871) out of Mount Coote Stud's consignment in Book 1 of the 2025 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.

She is a full sister to winner Queen of The Bogs, while her dam Nkosikazi was a group 3 winner over 1 1/4 miles for William Haggas.
