For the second year in a row Bless the Broken has sold at Fasig-Tipton's The November Sale. And for a second year in a row, plans call for continued racing.

Ireland-based Moyglare Stud Farm went to $2.9 million Nov. 2 to secure Bless the Broken from the consignment of Hunter Valley Farm, agent. Fiona Craig, who signed the ticket for Eva Maria Bucher-Haefner's Moyglare Stud, said the plan is to race the grade 2 winner next season with the hopes of getting her back to Kentucky Downs, where this year she captured the Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes (G2T), earning $901,050.

"She's a beauty and we loved her form and everything else," Craig said. "She's about as athletic a filly as you'll see, and she's done it. She's danced all the dances. So basically we want to keep her going, do the same, and try to win a group 1 with her."

Craig noted the purses in North America are attractive and Bless the Broken, a daughter of Laoban, will continue to race here. She'll be transferred to trainer Miguel Clement, who sat with Craig during the bidding Monday evening.

Clement is looking forward to good things.

"She had an unbelievable 3-year-old season. She had a yet again unbelievable 4-year-old season, so we just hope for the same as a 5-year-old," Clement said.

It's the second straight year Bless the Broken has sold at the November Sale after delivering for every one of her connections in her first three seasons of racing.

Initially racing for her breeder, Cypress Creek Equine, at 2, and that owner and Sol Kumin's Madaket Stables at 3, and trained in all but one start in those initial seasons by Will Walden, Bless the Broken won the 2025 Bourbonette Oaks on the all-weather surface at Turfway Park and, in her next start, finished third in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) on the dirt at Churchill Downs.

After her 3-year-old season she was offered at the 2025 The November Sale by consignor ELiTE, agent, and was purchased by Fergus Galvin, agent, for new owner Qatar Racing (Sheikh Fahad Al Thani) and Mountmellick Farm (David Fennelly). Hunter Valley Farm later joined in ownership. This season the versatile filly added the grade 2 win at Kentucky Downs, three grade 1 placings on dirt, and a grade 1 placing on turf for trainer Brad Cox.

Hunter Valley Farm manager Adrian Regan was thrilled with the interest at this year's sale and the winning bid.

"It's more than we thought she'd bring," Regan said. "In fairness to the mare, she deserved to bring that type of price. She's a beautiful mare. She has a wonderful temperament, and the switch to the turf seemed to really work for her."

Regan thought her fifth-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1T) Oct. 31 at Keeneland was a nice effort, if a bit under the radar. He said Bless the Broken has come through for every connection she's been associated with.

"I mean, she runs every time," Regan said. "What a beauty of a mare, and she's been so good to us."

Kentucky-bred Bless the Broken is out of the Tapit  mare The Nightingale, who is a half sister to multiple grade 1 winner Princess of Sylmar. The Nightingale has produced three winners from as many starters.
