The Fasig-Tipton Digital Fall Flash Sale closed Oct. 16 after six days of bidding that began Oct. 10.
Iron Orchard (Hip 1) sold for $2.5 million to KatieRich Farms. The 2-year-old daughter of Authentic entered the sale off a victory in the Frizette Stakes (G1) Oct. 4 to remain undefeated in three career starts. She also took her debut at Saratoga Race Course July 3 by 5 1/2 lengths, and the Seeking the Ante Stakes at Saratoga by 6 3/4 lengths. Iron Orchard was consigned by her trainer, Danny Gargan, as agent.
Haulin Ice (Hip 2) was bought back on a final bid of $875,000. The 4-year-old filly won her most recent start Sept. 20, the Princess Rooney Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park, a Breeders' Cup Challenge Series race for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1). She was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, and is still available for purchase post-sale.
"What a sale! It has been a thrill to offer an undefeated grade 1-winning and Breeders' Cup-bound filly in Iron Orchard for her connections," Fasig-Tipton director of digital sales Leif Aaron said. "We wish KatieRich the best of luck with her and will be rooting her on in the Breeders' Cup and beyond."
Aaron continued: "While we were disappointed to have not sold Haulin Ice, she is a quality filly and still available for purchase post-sale through our platform."
