Due to rain throughout the region all morning and with more rain expected tonight, the all-turf Monmouth-at-Meadowlands live Thoroughbred card has been canceled for Oct. 16, the final night of the meet.
Live Thoroughbred racing will resume in New Jersey at Monmouth Park next May, and pending approval from the New Jersey Racing Commission, the Meadowlands Pick 6 carryover of $9,548 will be added to Monmouth's opening day program.
