The countdown to New Zealand Bloodstock's National Weanling Sale is underway, with a high-quality catalog of 140 youngsters by New Zealand's best stallions now available to view online at nzb.co.nz.

Set to be held June 25 at Karaka, the sale offers plenty of opportunities for both pinhookers and end users to secure commercial and racing stock, with the session a proven source of racetrack and investment success.

Buyers will have the opportunity to secure progeny of established and emerging sires such as Savabeel, Proisir, Super Seth, Sword of State, Almanzor, Ace High, Per Incanto, and Satono Aladdin, to name just a few.

"The catalog features the same commercial quality you would expect at the National Yearling Sale, which provides a fantastic opportunity for pinhookers and investors," NZB bloodstock sales manager Kane Jones said.

"There are a number of high-profile sires featured, which is a huge drawcard, as well as a first glimpse of progeny by first-season sires Chaldean, Hilal, Mr Mozart and Paddington.

"We've been supported by a number of leading vendors and top New Zealand breeders, with a rare chance to buy into Karaka-quality weanlings."

All weanlings offered are eligible to be nominated for NZB's lucrative Karaka Millions Series, featuring the Karaka Millions 2YO and the Karaka Millions 3YO.

Weanlings entered in the sale will be available for inspections at the on-farm parades, due to take place in early June, and on-site at the Karaka Sales Center, with NZB agents available to inspect on behalf of buyers. The schedule will be available soon.

Jones also expects the catalog to attract interest from across the Tasman, with plenty of Australians expected to be in town.

"We expect all the local participants to be active, but I think with the dollar the way it is at the moment, we fully expect some Australians to make the trip over as well," Jones told ANZ.

"We have had some wonderful graduates come out of the sale and some really successful pinhook results as well, so I fully expect there will be some more great results come out of the sale this year, and there is something for everybody.

"I think we are really focused on the proven and emerging sires, and I am really happy that all of the New Zealand first-season sires are represented in the catalog, albeit a small but select offering.

"It will give buyers a little taste of what is on offer, particularly looking ahead to 2027. I think 140 lots is a good number and enough to have plenty of people interested."
